As the wind blew through our hair, and waves from the Atlantic splashed up into a mist on our faces, we all knew this adventure was money well spent.

It was possibly the most amazing view I have seen yet in my lifetime.

The cliffs rise 120 meters (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean and reach their maximum height of 214 meters (702 ft) just north of O’Brien’s Tower.

The views from the cliffs attract close to one million visitors per year.On a clear day, the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay , as are the valleys and hills of Connemara.

The Cliffs of Moher made my trip to Ireland what I wanted it to be….breath taking.

It was one of those things that when you looked down from then cliffs, into the ocean, you just felt this awe come over you. No other feeling can describe.

Although it took nearly 3 hours to get from Dublin to the coast, it was worth the drive and almost breaking my ankle by missing the stair in the bus.

However, with my London family, the bus ride was anything less than boring. Especially when you put the three of us together. Hilarious.

After trekking up a mountain earlier in the day, walking up the (what felt like hundreds of) stairs to get to the highest peak of the cliffs felt like we were going to die.

The view once we got up there, totally worth my legs feeling like pure Jello.

On this tour we also went through Galway which was super cute with its little Christmas market…where we got the best pretzels EVER!

We also went past many other coastal towns on the way to the Cliffs of Moher.

If you are planning on going to Ireland…you MUST go to the cliffs. No matter the cost, the view was to beautiful for words to describe.

I suggest the tour I took. MacCoole Tours. They were great. You got so much more than just a normal bus tour. They took you the cynic route and the scenery was gorgeous.

I just hope these pictures do the cliffs justice. The view was breath taking. Ireland…you are beautiful.
