What defines beauty?

Glamour magazine had a picture of a very nude Lizzie Miller (lady parts covered), who people say is to big to model even plus size clothing.

The 20-year-old model believes that it’s astonishing that, at 5ft 11in and 12.5 stone she’s considered a “plus size” model. “It’s sad, in the industry anything over size six is considered a plus-size.”

Lizzie Miller is around a US size 12-14 (that is slightly below average for US women). Photographers like girls who are sizes 8-10 usually.

The overwhelming reaction to the tiny photograph of Miller,  buried on page 194 of Glamour magazine, shows “that the world is hungry to see pictures of normal women.”

One wouldn’t have thought this would be news. As Miller says, “pretty much every picture in a magazine or ad is airbrushed . . . I don’t think the public understands how much smoke and mirrors are involved in making women look like that.”

Does this mean that slowly, but surely, the world is changing its perspective on what is beautiful? Negative ghostrider. I believe tall and thin will always be the ideal for the question “what is beautiful”.

I always heard the saying “beauty lies within” and i completely believe that to be correct.

Someone could be the most beautiful person in the world, yet have the worlds worst personality. They could be a total jerk. Is it just me ? Or does that make someone come off less and less attractive when they are rude, arrogant, annoying, so on and so forth.

I think if someone is pretty and has a rockin’ personality..then I am sold! Even if the person is terribly unfortunate looking and has the world’s most lovable personality.. I would rather see them on the cover of a magazine.

I think the same thing applies to weight. If you are happy with your size, don’t let others tell you differently. Rock it. Enough said.

As long as you shine in your own skin, no matter the colour, size, or anything your outward appearance might portray, then you are the definition of beautiful.

Love yourself.

a confident person is a beautiful person.
To me a size 12-14 who is confident, funny and comfortable with herself is more beautiful than a dull and ‘plastic’ size 8-10
