Thought for the day: Job hunting…a job in itself

So, as some of you may know…my visa to stay in London expires come the end of January.

Meaning I am moving back to Florida around that time.

My old boss at the pool (where I use to lifeguard and teach swim lessons) has been gracious enough to give me my job back when I get home.

However, I am trying to use my journalistic skills and find a part-time job or internship for a media company…

WHY IS THIS THAT HARD?!?

I have been applying for part-time radio host/assistant producer positions which I think I am well qualified for.

Yet, still no response.

And good luck trying to get an internship in the USA with a Master’s Degree. It is practically impossible.

All internships require you to get college credit for your time.

What if you want to do it for the experience? No helping out those who gained higher education?

apparently not.

Oh well, I will keep applying. I mean, out of applying for 100 positions…I have to hear back from at least one right?

London, don’t think you’re excluded from this application process. I am still trying to stay here.

Back to the old life for the time being I suppose…at least I am more cultured and have experienced so much that makes the last  16 months completely worth it.

🙂 ❤
